"Play, Learn, and Grow Together"
Our Systema Youth and Family Classes offer a unique and engaging way for kids and parents to develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills—all while having fun! Designed for children aged 4-14 and their parents, these classes use dynamic games and interactive drills to teach self-defence in a natural and enjoyable way.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced martial artist, the training can be tailored to your ability and goals.
No prior experience is required. Systema training is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of background in martial arts or self-defense.
No, you don’t need to be in top physical shape to start Systema. The training is adaptable to your current fitness level and helps you improve strength, mobility, and endurance over time. The focus is on efficiency and natural movement rather than brute strength or athleticism.
Whilst we have no set, ‘beginner’ classes, all our classes are beginner-friendly, and no prior experience is required.
New students are introduced to the fundamentals of movement, breathing, and self-defense in a supportive environment.
You can join any regular class, as we integrate beginners with more experienced students to promote learning at all levels.
No special uniform or equipment is required for training.
Just wear comfortable training clothes that allow free movement, such as a t-shirt, sweatpants, or training pants and you’re welcome to purchase a class shirt at anytime.
Training can be done barefoot or with clean non marking shoes.
Any additional equipment required will be provided as needed.
Due to the nature of the art you will find no two classes are ever the same.
As we don’t focus on set forms or techniques you will cover various exercises and drills such as,
- Warm-ups: Focused on breathing, mobility, and relaxation.
- Movement drills: Developing natural, efficient body mechanics.
- Partner exercises: Learning to control tension, balance, and reaction to force.
- Self-defense training: Practical applications against strikes, grabs, weapons, and multiple opponents.
- Breathing and endurance work: Building resilience under stress
Classes are conducted in a friendly, supportive environment, with an emphasis on adaptability and self-awareness.
Our regular classes are primarily designed for teens (15 and up) and adults.
If you’re interested in training for younger children we offer a Youth & Family class which caters for ages 4-14 and encourages parents to join in the fun!
